Pagham Pram Race gives generous support to Chichester Area Talking News

At their recent annual presentation evening the committee of the annual Pagham Pram Race presented the Vice-President of Chichester Area Talking News, Robbie Burns, with a cheque for £450.

Chichester Area Talking News (CATN), which supplies recording of news taken from the three editions of the Chichester Observer over 400 visually impaired listeners in the area, will use the £450 to purchase more equipment for their listeners.

CATN recordings are supplied free of charge to their listeners on memory sticks which can be re-used many times. Where necessary listeners are loaned a memory stick player free of charge and this money will enable CATN to purchase more players.

Chairman of CATN, David McVittie, said “We are extremely grateful to the Pagham Pram Race committee for their support. It is because of such generosity that we are able to support the visually impaired in our area.”

CATN recordings are available to anyone who for any reason is unable to read the local newspaper. CATN be contacted through their web site where it is also possible to listen to the latest news recordings.
